Five years ago on a military base in the Pacific Northwest, the in-your-face, blues-inspired riffs of Arkansas southern rock encountered the timeless, soul-changing melodies of Texas country when Ty Titus and Glenn Dutch met over an acoustic guitar. With both a passion and talent for music that refused to be ignored, the two formed a sound that would eventually carve out its own unique place in country music. Lock, Stock, & Barrel had been born.
It wasn't until the summer of 2010, however, after having met Paul Jones of Criminal Records, that a chain of events was set into motion that ultimately shaped the band into the musical powerhouse that it is today. Paul introduced Ty and Glenn to monster guitar player, established producer, and engineer Ronn Chick while recording their first album. Through Ronn, the driving and relentlessly catchy groove of one of the Northwest's most distinguished bass players, Johnny "Blaze" Stanford, was added to the mix. Wrapping up what was already a stellar cast of musicians, the boys brought in the solid, infectious backbeat of their good friend and colleague, drummer Josh Pelham.
With such ambition and potential it should come as no surprise that Lock, Stock & Barrel exploded into the Northwest country scene and has spread like wildfire. After the release of their debut album "Times Up" last July (which reached #1 on DigStation and #4 on ReverbNation within a week of its release), they have received significant airtime on 98.7 KUPL and 105.5 KUKN as well as appearing on news stations Fox 12 and Koin 6. Multiple, glowing reviews of the band have been published in The Oregonian, Positively Entertainment and Willamette Week. They have also had the honor of sharing the stage with some of Nashvilles finest talent, including Bomshel, Josh Gracin, and even the legendary David Allen Coe.
Tirelessly working to perfect their unique country sound while always striving to make, entertain, and--most importantly--befriend fans, Lock, Stock & Barrel maintains their reputation as one of the most dedicated bands you will continue to hear about. But make no mistake...
These boys are just getting started.
